Here is the ASTM D4716 Flow Rate per Unit Width and Hydraulic Transmissivity Testing for actual drainage capacity, at a 1/2% slope. The AirDrain will actually drain 171 inches per hour.

32”x32”x1”= 1024” AirDrain has 92% air void 1024”x .92 = 942.08” 7 sqft Grid can hold 4.078 gallons of water or .5826 gallons per sq ft AirDrain has the ability to pull the water through the pad, with gravity. Anything an inch off the earth brings gravity into play. It will help pull the water through the pad, allowing it to drain much faster than without it. And of course with the 92% air, move it straight to the exit drain.

Wood chips can be placed directly on top of the geotextile. The filter fabric retains the wood chip particles while allowing water to freely enter the drainage core.
